The Republic of India, termed as the 'World's Biggest Democracy' is a Federal Parliamentary Constitutional Republic. Democracy has been regarded as the best form of Governance, because it is a Governance For the People,and By The People. Unfortunately, not many of our citizens are happy in this democracy, because of one complaint, about not being able to reach out to their Legislator. Their Suggestions, Complaints and Problems are often left midaway in official procedures, and there is no action at all. Hence, We, Action for Pune Development, a Youth-Run NGO Based in Pune, Decided to Act.
Citizenship plays a pivotal role in democracy and a pro-active citizen is instrumental in bringing about a change in the society. Every Citizen is bestowed with certain rights, and he/she should exercise them in every possible right away. Freedom of Speech, is one such right granted to every Citizen of India by the Constitution of India, which gives every Citizen an individual opportunity to speak, hence leading to an inception of transormation.
We decided to develop an Anonymous* Web Platform, where our fellow citizens of Pune could express their views, post their suggestions, their expectations from their legislator or post their complaints. After keeping the form online for a specific duration and after getting threshold responses, we will compile them and prepare a Public Report which will be classified according to the PMC Wards and publish it.
We aim to provide the citizens a platform to express their views, complaints or issues online, and which will be published as a Consolidated Ward - Wise Segregated Report. Unlike what has been happening earlier, once these issues are published in an open way, the Government will have no other choice than to listen to us. After working in the field of Community Service since 2012, right from District to a Global Level, we are confident that we will definetely let the voice of our fellow Punekars reach their corporators.
